Ep 22. The Perfect Cocktail

Robin and Barney are preparing to host a cocktail party in their new apartment, but things quickly start to go awry. Robin is struggling to find the perfect cocktail to serve, while Barney is stressed out about impressing Nora, the woman he's been dating.

Meanwhile, Ted and Marshall are tasked with picking up the ice for the party, but end up going on a wild goose chase around the city. They first go to a convenience store that's sold out of ice, then wind up at a fancy hotel where they have to pretend to be guests just to get access to the ice machine.

As the party gets underway, tensions start to rise as Robin becomes increasingly frustrated with her failed attempts at mixology, and Barney becomes paranoid that Nora won't show up. When Nora finally does arrive, Barney is on edge and his behavior becomes increasingly erratic.

As the night wears on, a series of mishaps and misunderstandings lead to Robin and Barney getting into a heated argument. But just when it seems like their relationship might be over, they both have an epiphany about how much they mean to each other.

In the end, Robin finally comes up with the perfect cocktail and the party is a success. Barney and Nora continue to date, but he realizes that Robin is the person he truly wants to be with. The episode ends with Marshall and Lily getting ready to move to the suburbs, setting up the final episodes of the season.
