Ep 15. P.S. I Love You

In season 8 episode 15 of How I Met Your Mother, titled "P.S. I Love You," the gang comes across an obscure band called The Funky Fuppes and its lead singer, C.J. (played by Casey Wilson). After reminiscing about their college days and how much they loved the band, they discover that C.J. has since passed away.

Ted is particularly impacted by C.J.'s death, as she was responsible for his favorite song and he had always admired her talent. He becomes obsessed with finding out more about her life and falls down a rabbit hole of researching her online and listening to all of her music. As he becomes more and more invested in her story, we see flashbacks of C.J. in her prime and the impact that her music had on Ted and the gang.

Meanwhile, Marshall and Lily struggle with their relationship as they try to navigate their fertility issues. Marshall becomes increasingly frustrated and even jealous of Lily's relationship with their neighbor, who accidentally got pregnant and doesn't seem to care about being a mother. They try to work through their issues with humor and honesty, but it's clear that they have a long road ahead of them.

Barney, on the other hand, is convinced that he knows who his mystery bride is and goes to great lengths to try and find her. He even goes so far as to gather a list of women who fit his criteria and sends a letter to each of them, hoping for a response. As he waits for a reply, we see him struggling with his feelings about getting married and his fear of committing to one person forever.

Overall, "P.S. I Love You" is a poignant episode that reflects on the power of music and the impact that someone can have on your life, even if you never got the chance to know them personally. It's also a reminder that relationships are hard work and sometimes, despite our best efforts, things don't always go the way we planned.
