How It Should Have Ended is a popular animated web-series that reimagines the endings of popular movies and TV shows. Season 1 episode 3 is titled Superheroes, and the episode focuses on various superhero movies and their endings.
The episode starts with a parody of the iconic Superman intro, with the narrator introducing superheroes like Batman, Spider-Man, and the X-Men. The first movie tackled in the episode is Batman Begins, and the HISHE team presents an alternate ending where Commissioner Gordon shoots the Joker before he can activate the bombs in the city. The HISHE team hilariously points out that Batman could have saved a lot of trouble if he just shot the villains himself instead of going through elaborate plans.
The next movie tackled is Spider-Man, and the HISHE team presents an ending where Spider-Man manages to save both Mary Jane and the tram full of people. The HISHE team points out that it doesn't make sense for the Green Goblin to try to kill Spider-Man in a public setting when he could easily kill him in a more private location. The HISHE team also points out that Spider-Man could have simply used his web-slinging to stop the tram instead of using his brute strength.
Next up is X-Men, and the HISHE team presents an alternate ending where Magneto successfully destroys the Statue of Liberty, leading to the creation of a mutant haven. The HISHE team points out that the X-Men could have just teleported the statue away instead of fighting Magneto, and that Magneto's plan was actually pretty well thought out.
The next movie tackled is Superman, and the HISHE team presents an ending where Superman saves Lois Lane from falling out of a helicopter. The HISHE team points out that Superman could have simply flown the helicopter to safety instead of just saving Lois, and that the helicopter pilot was surprisingly skilled for being able to fly upside down for so long.
The final movie tackled in the episode is Spider-Man 2, and the HISHE team presents an ending where Spider-Man defeats Doctor Octopus by webbing him to a train and then unmasking himself. The HISHE team points out that Spider-Man could have simply webbed Doc Ock's arms together instead of webbing him to a train, and that unmasking himself in public is a bad idea.
Overall, How It Should Have Ended season 1 episode 3 is a hilarious and insightful look at some of our favorite superhero movies. The HISHE team has a great sense of humor and they point out some interesting flaws in the movies that we may not have noticed before. If you're a fan of superhero movies, this is definitely an episode you don't want to miss.
