Quick Draw is a hilarious western comedy series produced by Hulu Originals that premiered in 2013 and ran until 2014. The series is set in the 1870s in Great Bend, Kansas, and centers around Sheriff John Henry Hoyle (played by John Lehr), a recent Harvard graduate who bumbles his way through the Wild West.

Hoyle is a character quite unlike any other traditional western hero we've seen before. He's not particularly brave or skilled, and he's more interested in cracking jokes and making absurd observations than saving the day. He's also an artist, a fact that seems to baffle pretty much everyone he encounters.

The first season of Quick Draw has ten episodes, each about 20-25 minutes long, while the second season has a few more episodes of the same length. The episodes usually have their own self-contained plot that often involves Hoyle investigating a crime or trying to maintain order in the town.

Hoyle's primary sidekick is Deputy Eli Brocias (Nick Brown), a quick-witted young man who's loyal to a fault. Eli is often the voice of reason in the series and serves as the perfect foil to Hoyle's aimless antics. The other notable characters include the saloon owner Honey Shaw (Allison Dunbar), the town's judge Timothy Otis Dutton (Bob Clendenin), the town barber Vernon Shank (Ralph Garman), and the town's doctor and Hoyle's romantic interest, Fiona Richmond (Alexia Dox).

One of the most notable things about Quick Draw is its unique style of humor. The series is unapologetically irreverent, and the show's creators seem to delight in subverting western tropes and stereotypes at every turn. The humor can sometimes be a bit fast-paced and tongue-in-cheek, but the show is always fun.

The series is also notable for its use of improvisational comedy. Most scenes in Quick Draw were filmed using a loose script, and the actors were encouraged to ad-lib and play off of each other. This gives the series a very natural and spontaneous feel, which often results in some truly hilarious moments.

Visually, the show is very well done. The cinematography is beautiful, and the show's creators did a fantastic job of creating an authentic western atmosphere. The costumes and set design are also top-notch, and every detail feels meticulously thought-out.

One of the most interesting aspects of the series is its exploration of gender and race relations in the Wild West. Quick Draw doesn't shy away from portraying the racism and sexism that pervaded the era. However, the show's creators manage to do so in a way that's both insightful and hilarious, often using humor to point out the absurdity of these attitudes.

Overall, Quick Draw is a fantastic series that's a must-watch for anyone who loves westerns, comedies, or both. It's a fresh take on the genre that's filled with memorable characters, absurd situations, and laugh-out-loud humor. While the show unfortunately only lasted for two seasons, it's still a standout example of what happens when talented creators and actors are given the freedom to experiment with a well-worn genre.

Quick Draw is a series that is currently running and has 2 seasons (19 episodes). The series first aired on August 5, 2013.
