Guy Code is a television show on MTV2 that is based on the premise that there exists a code of behavior between guys that tells them how to act and what rules to follow. The show interviews famous men about guy code and how they think a man should behave when faced with difficult circumstances or a complicated situation. It is thought that this guy code is something that all men know intuitively or should. Many of the topics in the show deal with when it's appropriate for a guy to show emotion or how he should deal with women, sex, and relationships. While the topics discussed on the show are sometimes serious, the actors and comedians who are interviewed by the show all use humor to talk about how man should deal with them. Most of the advice on Guy Code is dished out by other men but there are a few women who makes appearances on the show to give the female perspective. The show is shot in an interview style with each segment dealing with a different aspect of modern life and how guys should respond. The topics include online dating, sports, and work with each celebrity expert offering his advice. There are also segments with the celebrities headed out into the field to do some masculine activities. They do stuff like go a shooting range to practice their marksmanship. The goal of the show is to get every man out there to act in the same way. The idea is that the world is a complicated place with a lot of pitfalls for men and Guy Code will give men a rule book on how to act to keep them safe and make sure none of their fellow men are screwed over. The point of this is to get every man in the United States to operate from the same Guy Code.
