Ep 8. What's In a Name?

In How to Make It in America season 2 episode 8, titled "What's In a Name?", Ben and Cam face new obstacles in their quest to start up their denim line, Crisp. The episode kicks off with Ben's girlfriend Rachel urging him to come up with a brand name that truly captures the essence of their vision, and the two brainstorm together at Ben's apartment. He pitches it to Rachel and she loves it, but they still need to get the approval of their business partner, Gingy.

Meanwhile, Cam is still grappling with whether or not to trust Kappo. He meets with him again and Kappo shows him a demo of their potential product, which impresses Cam. However, when Kappo offers to front the money for production, Cam becomes even more wary. He doesn't want to give up control of the project or risk getting burned again. Despite his reservations, Cam agrees to work with Kappo, but he makes it clear that he'll be keeping a close eye on him.

Back at Ben's apartment, the trio finally settles on "Crisp Athletics" as their official brand name. They celebrate with some drinks and reflect on how far they've come in their journey. However, their excitement is short-lived when they realize that they still need to secure a trademark for the name. They scramble to file the paperwork before their competitors beat them to it.

As the episode comes to a close, we see Ben and Cam continuing to navigate the ups and downs of entrepreneurship. They're determined to make their dream a reality, even if it means taking risks and facing challenges along the way. "What's In a Name?" is an episode about the power of creative thinking, the value of trust, and the importance of staying true to your vision.
