He was reprimanded and believed the issue resolved. Two years later, authorities reopened the incident, accusing him of inappropriate touching and charging him with indecent assault.

Alex MacDonald

Alex MacDonald flew to Rarotonga in 2009 for a warm escape and joined the yacht Santana for a trip to Tonga. The skipper, David Parkinson, struggled with Parkinson's disease, and after gear failures and a storm, tension rose. Fifteen days in, Parkinson fell overboard, leaving Alex lost at sea. When rescued, he was accused of causing the skipper's death.

David Slater became the prime suspect when his wife Cariad vanished in 1992 after being dropped at friend Ron Pennington's home. Their recent fight, his calm reaction, and his quick return to dating kept suspicion on him for 19 years. In 2012 her remains were found at that same house, and Pennington was convicted, finally clearing David's name.

Terri and her partner were questioned, and Terri's numb, emotionless state drew suspicion. After hours of interrogation, she signed a confession.
