The latest episode of ID: INVADED Season 1 is called Thunderbolted, which promises an action-packed experience that continues to build on the existing story elements established in previous episodes.
By this point in the series, viewers have become familiar with the central concept of ID: INVADED - a virtual reality system called the Mizuhanome that allows investigators to enter the minds of criminals and explore their subconscious. Our hero, a detective named Sakaido, has been tasked with using Mizuhanome to track down a serial killer known as the "Perforator," and he's been getting closer to his goal with every episode.
Thunderbolted picks up where the previous episode left off, with Sakaido chasing down a lead in the Mizuhanome that he believes will finally lead him to the Perforator's true identity. However, he's not alone in the virtual world - a new character named Hondomachi has also entered the Mizuhanome, though her reasons for being there are still unclear.
As Sakaido continues his search, he runs into a particularly formidable foe in the form of a criminal known as "Thunderbolt." Unlike the other criminals he's encountered thus far, Thunderbolt is able to control the virtual environment around him, turning his surroundings into a deadly weapon. Sakaido must put all of his skills to the test in order to survive Thunderbolt's attacks and uncover his connection to the Perforator.
Meanwhile, Hondomachi's presence in the Mizuhanome causes some tension among the other investigators on the outside. Some of them are starting to worry that her involvement in the case could throw off their carefully laid plans, while others see her as a potential asset to the team if they can figure out a way to work with her.
Throughout Thunderbolted, the tension mounts as Sakaido and Hondomachi both delve deeper into the dangerous virtual world of the Mizuhanome. As the episode draws to a close, viewers are left on the edge of their seats wondering what could happen next. Will Sakaido finally catch the Perforator? What role will Hondomachi play in the investigation? And what other challenges will they face as they continue to explore the dark minds of the criminals in the Mizuhanome?
