Filmed in New York City, the hard-hitting drama series "Third Watch" opens its third season with a salute to the rescue workers involved in the World Trade Center tragedy. The episode is a special nonscripted two-hour tribute in which members of the cast, who portray New York emergency personnel, interact with their heroic, real-life counterparts: the firefighters, police and paramedics who are on the front lines of the disaster. This is the first of a three-part group of episodes involving the disaster and the effect it has on the rescue workers. Parts two and three return to the fictional format.
