Ep 1. Lowkey Feelin' Myself

As the fourth season of "Insecure" begins, fans are reunited with Issa (played by show creator Issa Rae) with a newfound confidence that's clear from the first frame. Sporting a fresh buzz cut, Issa is focusing on her passion project: a block party to celebrate the local community. But with the event still in the planning stages, Issa needs to find the right partner. Enter Condola (Christina Elmore), a sleek and successful event planner who volunteers to help bring Issa's vision to life.

While Issa is excited to have an experienced party planner in her corner, her best friend Molly (Yvonne Orji) is struggling to connect with her own romantic interests. After briefly dating an Asian coworker, Molly has moved on to dating men solely based on their blackness. But as she navigates the dating world, Molly is forced to face her own biases and find a way to connect with love interests who don't align with her expectations.

Meanwhile, Issa's ex-boyfriend Lawrence (Jay Ellis) has moved on from their tumultuous relationship and is settling into a new life with his girlfriend and their newborn baby. But as Issa is forced to confront the idea of Lawrence's future with someone else, she begins to reevaluate her own romantic history and the role Lawrence played in it.
