Island at War is a British television series regarding invasion of Nazi Germany into the Channel Islands. The series focuses on three different classes of family on a fictional island named St. Gregory. The show's setting is during World War II during the acquisition of the Channel Islands. The series showcases how things on the Island appear to have changed to a German way over night. The show also centers around how the changes have affected the lives of three different island families. The changes range from requiring that the Islanders were restricted to certain modes of transportation to changing town names to that of German names. Although the island on which the show's setting takes place is fictional, the events are based on events that happened on real-life islands.
