Jane the Virgin season 2 episode 2, entitled "Chapter Twenty-Four," begins with Jane still dealing with the aftermath of her accidental insemination and trying to navigate her new life as a mother. In this episode, Jane is still struggling to write her thesis for graduate school while caring for her newborn son, Mateo.
Meanwhile, Rogelio and Xo are trying to adjust to their new roles as co-parents to their daughter, but they struggle to see eye-to-eye on many aspects of parenting. Not to mention, Rogelio is still reeling from the revelation that he has a long-lost biological daughter and is trying to figure out how to incorporate her into his life.
As for Petra, she is mourning the loss of her twin sister Anezka, who was recently killed in a freak accident. However, Petra soon realizes that Anezka may not be as dead as she thought, and she sets out to uncover the truth.
Elsewhere, Michael is trying to navigate his new job as a private investigator, and he finds himself caught up in a case involving one of Rafael's businesses. This puts a strain on Michael's relationship with Jane and with Rafael, who starts to suspect that Michael may have ulterior motives.
Overall, "Chapter Twenty-Four" is a fast-paced episode that sets up a number of storylines that will continue throughout the season. From Jane's struggles as a new mother to Petra's ongoing drama with her sister, there is never a dull moment in the world of Jane the Virgin.
