As the battle wears on, Yoshimori learns something surprising about Gen: he is not entirely committed to the Kokuboro cause. In fact, he was sent to spy on the organization and gather information on their plans. Gen tells Yoshimori that he didn't want to be a part of Kokuboro but had no other choice. He is indebted to a Kokuboro member and has been forced to do their bidding to pay off his debt.

Yoshimori comes to understand Gen better and decides to help him get out of his Kokuboro obligation. However, they must first stop the Kokuboro's plan to retrieve the mystical power. The students, along with the two Kekkaishi, work together to defend the school and prevent the Kokuboro from reaching the Karasumori site.

As the battle comes to a close, Yoshimori and Gen are able to work together to overcome the challenges and obtain a victory. When the Kokuboro members retreat, Yoshimori offers to help Gen get out of his obligation and become a Kekkaishi. Gen is happy to have made a friend and to have found a possible way out of his ties with the Kokuboro organization.

Overall, this episode of Kekkaishi has a lot of action, adventure and emotional depth, with beautiful storytelling and character development. It provides an insight into human relationships and the complexities of true friendship in the midst of adversity.
