In Kekkaishi season 1 episode 3, titled "Beautiful Oni Master," our main character Yoshimori discovers that his rival, the wealthy and popular Tokine, has been invited to meet with a renowned Oni Master named Hekian. Yoshimori is jealous of Tokine and immediately decides to follow her to the meeting place in hopes of finding out more about this Oni Master. Meanwhile, a dangerous Ayakashi (a type of demon) known as a Hellhound begins to terrorize the town, causing chaos and destruction wherever it goes.
When Yoshimori arrives at the meeting place, he is surprised to learn that Hekian is actually a beautiful woman. Despite her beauty, Hekian is known throughout the world of the Kekkaishi as a powerful and skilled Oni Master, capable of controlling Ayakashi and using them for her own purposes. She has come to the town specifically to capture the Hellhound, which she believes has been attracted to the area by a powerful and ancient artifact known as the Karasumori Site.
Yoshimori is initially skeptical of Hekian's abilities, believing that her beauty and femininity make her weak and unable to handle the dangerous Ayakashi. However, as he observes her in action, he comes to realize how wrong he was and how truly skilled Hekian is at her craft. He also starts to develop a newfound respect for her, despite their initial rivalry.
As Yoshimori and Hekian work together to capture the Hellhound, they soon realize that someone else is also after the creature. This mysterious person, whose identity is not revealed until later in the episode, is also after the Karasumori Site and will stop at nothing to obtain it. As Yoshimori and Hekian come face to face with this person, they must work together to protect the site and keep it out of the wrong hands.
"Beautiful Oni Master" is an action-packed episode full of exciting battles and tense moments. It also focuses on the theme of appearances being deceiving, as Yoshimori learns that beauty and gender do not determine a person's abilities or strength. The episode introduces an intriguing new character in Hekian, who adds depth and complexity to the world of Kekkaishi. Overall, this episode is an excellent addition to the series and will not disappoint fans of the show.
