As the flashbacks come to a close, Yoshimori and Tokine are faced with the difficult task of stopping Shishio before he can unleash his full power on the city. Along the way, they must also confront their own feelings of anger and betrayal towards Shishio, as they grapple with the realization of the tragedies he has suffered.
