Kevin (Probably) Saves the World is a drama series that follows the story of Kevin Finn, a self-centered and troubled man who finds a new purpose in life after a celestial being named Yvette shows up on his doorstep. Kristin is a single mother who is struggling to make ends meet, and Kevin soon realizes that he needs to use his powers to help her out. With Yvette's guidance, Kevin is able to make a difference in Kristin's life, and she becomes the first person to join him on his mission to save the world.

Throughout the episode, we also get glimpses into Kevin's past and the reasons for his troubled state of mind. We learn that he had a close relationship with his twin sister, Amy, who passed away a year prior to the events of the show. Her death has left Kevin feeling lost and unsure of his purpose in life, which is why Yvette's arrival is so significant.
