Hank and the gang are all excited about a major overhaul and expansion of the local Mega-Lo-Mart. With the promise of new products and bigger discounts, they eagerly await the grand reopening. Meanwhile, Luanne is feeling down on her luck in both her personal and professional life. She has been trying to find a new job after her beauty school closes down and she's struggling to make ends meet. To make matters worse, she feels lonely and insecure about her romantic prospects.

In an effort to boost her spirits, Peggy suggests they have a girls' night out at a local bar. Luanne reluctantly agrees and they head out for a night of dancing and drinks. At the bar, Luanne catches the eye of a charming and handsome man named Trip. The two hit it off and spend the night chatting and dancing together.

The next morning, Luanne wakes up in Trip's bed feeling happy and carefree. As she gets ready to leave, Trip asks if she would like to go out with him again. Luanne is thrilled at the prospect of a new romance and eagerly agrees. However, as she walks out of the apartment building, she realizes that she doesn't know Trip's last name, phone number or anything about him.

Luanne confides in Peggy about her predicament and Peggy decides to take matters into her own hands. She contacts the apartment complex's management and asks if they can track down Trip's information. To her surprise, they quickly find Trip's phone number and address. Peggy shares the information with Luanne, who is hesitant to call Trip because she doesn't want to seem desperate or stalkerish.

Meanwhile, at the Mega-Lo-Mart, Hank and his friends are disappointed to find that the store's renovation has left it confusing and unorganized. They struggle to find the products they need and are frustrated with the lack of customer service. Hank decides to write a letter of complaint to the store's corporate office, but realizes that he is not very good at expressing his thoughts in writing.

Sensing his frustration, Peggy offers to help Hank write his letter. They collaborate on a scathing critique of the store's new layout and poor customer service. Despite their efforts, they receive a standard, pre-written response from the corporate office that only adds insult to injury.

Back in Luanne's world, she finally summons the courage to call Trip. To her surprise, he is happy to hear from her and suggests they go out again that night. Luanne accepts and eagerly prepares for their date. However, as she is about to leave, she receives a call from the Mega-Lo-Mart's customer service department. The representative informs her that she has won a year's supply of the store's brand of toilet paper in a customer satisfaction survey.

Luanne is overjoyed by the unexpected news, but realizes that she will have to reschedule her date with Trip. Disappointed but understanding, Trip offers to go out with her another night. Before she leaves, he gives her a passionate kiss that leaves her head spinning.

As Luanne heads back to her apartment, she is conflicted about her feelings. On one hand, she is excited about her new romance with Trip. On the other hand, she feels guilty about neglecting her job search and her studies. As she contemplates her future, she realizes that she has a lot of hard work ahead of her.
