Hank Hill, the protagonist of the show King of the Hill, must face an unexpected challenge in season 2, episode 3, titled "The Arrowhead." As a propane salesman and proud Texan, Hank is used to navigating the ups and downs of life in the fictional town of Arlen, but he is unprepared for the trouble that arises when Bobby, his young son, discovers an ancient arrowhead while on a school camping trip.

At first, Bobby is thrilled about his find, showing the arrowhead off to his classmates and relishing his newfound knowledge about local Native American history. Hank, however, sees things differently. Worried that his son might have removed an important artifact from its rightful resting place, he decides to take the arrowhead to a local expert for analysis. His suspicions are confirmed when the expert informs him that the arrowhead is indeed a historically significant object, and that it must be returned to the tribe from which it came.

This sets off a chain of events that takes Hank and his family on a journey of discovery, as they learn more about the history and culture of the Native American tribes who once roamed the land that is now Arlen. Along the way, they encounter a series of different characters, some of whom are sympathetic to their cause, while others are less so.

One of the main plot points of the episode is Hank's attempts to find the rightful owners of the arrowhead, and to return it to them in a respectful and appropriate way. He consults with knowledgeable experts, researches Native American history, and even visits a local Indian casino in an effort to make contact with members of the tribe.

Ultimately, however, it is Bobby who helps to save the day. When a group of amateur archaeologists attempt to steal the arrowhead from Hank, Bobby hides the object and sets off on his own to return it to the tribe. He is eventually successful, and the episode ends on a note of hopefulness and reconciliation between Hank and the local Native American community.

Throughout the course of the episode, the show uses humor and satire to explore sensitive issues related to Native American history and identity. But it also manages to tell a heartfelt and entertaining story about a father and son who learn important lessons about respect, responsibility, and the importance of understanding and preserving the past. As with all episodes of King of the Hill, "The Arrowhead" showcases the show's unique brand of humor and warmth, and reminds viewers why it remains a beloved classic of American television.
