In season 1 episode 6 of Knight's & Magic (Original Japanese Version), titled Trial & Error, we see Ernesti and his friends continuing to train for the upcoming trial of the Silhouette Knight. The atmosphere in the group is tense, as everyone is aware that their success in this trial could determine the outcome of the upcoming battle with the demon beasts. Ernesti, in particular, is feeling the pressure as he knows that his proficiency in controlling the Silhouette Knight will be closely scrutinized.
As the day of the trial approaches, the group receives a surprise visit from Dietrich, the grandson of a famous Silhouette Knight pilot. Dietrich has come to observe their training and offer his critique, with the aim of helping them improve their chances of success. However, his presence also unnerves Ernesti and the rest of the group, who feel the added pressure of having to impress an experienced pilot.
The trial finally arrives, and the group is given the task of defending a fortress from an onslaught of demon beasts. The battle is intense, with the group facing a variety of challenges, including fierce demon beasts and surprise attacks from unexpected angles. Throughout the battle, Ernesti proves himself to be a skilled pilot, demonstrating both his abilities and his creativity in using the Silhouette Knight to its fullest potential.
However, despite the group's best efforts, they are ultimately unable to hold the line and the fortress falls. Disheartened, they return to their workshop, where they begin to assess what went wrong and how they can improve for the next trial.
As the episode draws to a close, we see Ernesti reflecting on the experience and the lessons he has learned. He is determined to use these lessons to improve his piloting skills and to help his friends succeed in their future trials. With the next battle with the demon beasts looming ever closer, the pressure is on for Ernesti and his group, and they will need all the skills that they have learned in order to emerge victorious.
