La Dona Season 1 Episode 13 Episodio 13
- December 15, 2016
La Doña season 1 episode 13, titled "Episodio 13", follows the aftermath of the explosive events of the previous episode. Altagracia Sandoval, the lead character of the show, is on a mission to avenge the murder of her daughter, Mónica. In the previous episode, Altagracia had finally managed to track down the man who had orchestrated Mónica's death, a powerful drug lord named Braulio Padilla. She had managed to trap him inside a luxury hotel room and planned to kill him herself. However, things didn't go quite as planned.
As the episode opens, Altagracia is seen sneaking into Braulio's hotel room, gun in hand. She is determined to put an end to his life, but suddenly she hears a noise from the adjoining room. She pauses, realizing that someone else is in the room with her target. She pulls back and takes a look at the neighboring room to see who it is. To her surprise, she finds that it's no one else but her long lost granddaughter, Valeria.
Valeria and Altagracia have a complicated relationship, as Valeria is the daughter of one of Altagracia's former enemies. In the previous episodes, Altagracia had learned of Valeria's existence and had decided to use her as a pawn in her war against her enemies. However, now that she sees her granddaughter in danger, the maternal instinct in her takes over.
Altagracia decides to abort her plan of killing Braulio and instead focus on getting Valeria out of harm's way. But Braulio is no fool and soon realizes that there's someone else in the room with him. He manages to break free from his handcuffs and make a run for it. Altagracia and Valeria are forced to flee as well, but not before an intense confrontation with Braulio that leaves everyone shaken.
With Braulio on the loose and no clear path forward, Altagracia decides to take a break from her mission and focus on taking care of Valeria. This decision doesn't sit well with some members of her inner circle, who believe that Altagracia is losing focus. But for Altagracia, her granddaughter's safety is paramount.
As the episode progresses, we see more of Altagracia's vulnerable side. We see her bonding with Valeria and trying to make amends for the sins of her past. We also see her feeling the weight of her mission on her shoulders, as she realizes how many people are depending on her to bring justice to the drug lords who rule her city.
Meanwhile, other characters in the show are also going through their own personal struggles. Saúl, Altagracia's trusted ally and confidant, is dealing with his own demons. We see him struggling to come to terms with the fact that he is in love with Altagracia, despite knowing that she has no interest in him romantically.
Finally, towards the end of the episode, we see the return of someone we thought was gone for good - Braulio Padilla. He shows up at Altagracia's doorstep with a proposal that could change the course of the entire series.
Overall, La Doña season 1 episode 13 is a captivating and intense episode that delves deep into the emotions and motivations of its characters. The episode sets the stage for some major plot developments in the future and is sure to leave viewers on the edge of their seats.
