Ep 1. Blind Spot

Detectives Robert Goren (Vincent D'Onofrio) and Alexandra Eames (Kathryn Erbe) return for the sixth season of Law & Order: Criminal Intent, a spin-off of the immensely popular Law & Order franchise. In this season premiere episode, titled "Blind Spot," the detectives find themselves investigating a murder that appears to be an act of self-defense.

The victim, Mark Virgini (played by guest star Jake Weber), was shot and killed by his neighbor, Alan Cosgrove (played by guest star Steven Weber), during a heated argument over a parking spot. At first glance, it seems like a clear-cut case of self-defense, as Cosgrove claims that Virgini attacked him with a shovel before he fired the fatal shot. However, Goren and Eames soon uncover evidence that suggests there may be more to this case than it seems.

As they begin to dig deeper, the detectives discover that Virgini had a troubled past and a violent temper. He had a history of angry outbursts and had been fired from his job for assaulting a coworker. They also discover that Cosgrove had a history of mental illness and had been involuntarily committed to a psychiatric facility in the past.

Despite this, Goren remains convinced that something doesn't add up. He believes that there may be more to Virgini's death than just a simple case of self-defense. As the investigation continues, Goren and Eames unravel a web of lies, deceit, and betrayal that leads them on a twisted journey through New York's criminal underworld.

Along the way, they come face to face with some of the city's most dangerous criminals, including a powerful drug kingpin and a ruthless enforcer with a deadly reputation. They also discover that, when it comes to crime and justice, not everything is as it appears on the surface.
