This time they venture out together, and Martha who is considerably pregnant this winter season depends on Erik to ensure they find game worth hunting.

Meanwhile, in the Tanana Valley, Chip and Agnes Hailstone are experiencing a different challenge. As a family who relies on subsistence hunting and fishing, they worry about the impact of the long winter. In Winter Kill, the couple teams up on a mission to catch salmon and whitefish before the season ends as it could mean the difference between a nourishing winter or going hungry.

In a bid to protect their haul and make it through the harsh winter, each family must put their skills and experience to the test.
