In this episode of Life Below Zero season 8, titled Blindsided, viewers are taken into the harsh reality of the Alaskan wilderness once again. The show follows several Alaskans who spend most of the year living off the land in some of the most remote and treacherous areas of the state.

Blindsided continues to follow the life of those living in remote Alaska and the challenges that they face. The episode features Sue, who lives in Kavik, which is a remote research station located in the vast and desolate Brooks Range. The location is isolated, with no roads or facilities to provide any convenience. The only way to access the area is by plane.

Sue is a seasoned bush pilot, and she uses her skills to get around, but transportation is not the only problem she faces. The Arctic weather conditions can be unforgiving, and it is common for temperatures to drop below negative 50 degrees Fahrenheit.

Sue is forced to navigate through the biting cold weather, which not only causes major disruptions in communication but also creates life-threatening situations.

Another character featured in Blindsided is Glenn. He lives in Chandalar, which is situated in the foothills of the Brooks Range region. The area is remote, and his main source of food is the wildlife and fish, which he must capture himself.

Glenn's primary focus in this episode is preparing for the tough winters that lie ahead. To survive the winter, Glenn must be well-stocked with food and fuel. His only way of storing perishables is in an underground cache, and he must build up his stores for the long winter months.

However, it doesn't take long for Glenn to realize that he may have missed a crucial step in his winter preparations. Despite his diligent efforts, his cache has been compromised, and all his food is now at risk of spoiling.

Meanwhile, in the cold and remote Alaskan village of Noorvik, Chip and Agnes must cope with severely changing weather conditions. The thaw season brings in significant changes that can create havoc for the residents of Noorvik. The ice on the rivers and lakes begins to break, with flooding becoming imminent.

To make matters worse, Agnes's dogs are struggling with the heat, and she must come up with a solution to keep them cool. The couple knows that they must work together to keep their livelihood and family intact.

Finally, Life Below Zero: Blindsided also takes viewers to remote locations where Bob and his family live. Bob's family lives in isolated cabins that are situated 135 air miles south of the Arctic Circle. Their daily life consists of chopping wood, fishing, and hunting, and they live off the land with little else.

In this episode, Bob is preparing for his yearly caribou hunt, which is vital for survival. His hunt is time-sensitive, as he only has a window of two days to catch enough game to last his family all year.

Life Below Zero: Blindsided continues to highlight the trials and tribulations that come with living off the grid in remote parts of Alaska. The show brings together a unique cast of characters that strive to survive in one of the toughest environments in the world.
