Inside Wabash is the tenth episode of Lockup season 1, which takes the viewers into one of Indiana's most dangerous maximum-security prisons – Wabash Valley Correctional Facility. Wabash is known for housing some of the most violent offenders in the state and has a reputation of being one of the toughest places to serve time.

The episode begins with a glimpse of the prison's security measures, including the 24-hour surveillance, razor wire fences, and heavily armed guards. The viewer is then taken inside the prison where they meet some of the inmates and get a firsthand look at the day-to-day struggles and harsh realities of life in Wabash.

The first group of inmates we meet are those serving time in the prison's solitary confinement unit, known as "The Hole." These inmates are housed in tiny cells, with no windows and no access to natural light. They are only allowed out of their cells for one hour a day, during which they are escorted to a small, concrete exercise yard to stretch their legs and get some fresh air.

The narrator interviews some of these inmates, who describe the brutal and solitary existence that comes with being in The Hole. Many of them have been there for months or even years and have resorted to extreme measures to keep themselves sane, such as talking to themselves and creating imaginary friends.

Next, we are introduced to a group of inmates who have formed their own prison gang. They are called the "Aryan Nation" and are known for their white supremacist beliefs. We learn that Wabash has a strict policy against gangs, and any inmates found to be affiliated with one will be punished severely.

The Aryan Nation members are seen participating in a prison-wide tournament, where they face off against other gangs in games of basketball, handball, and other activities. Through interviews with the gang members, we learn about the hierarchy within the gang and the rules that govern their behavior.

The episode then takes us to the prison's kitchen, where we meet a group of inmates who have been given the coveted job of working in the kitchen. These inmates are trusted to handle sharp knives and other dangerous tools, and they take pride in their work. We see them preparing meals for the other inmates, and they talk about the sense of purpose they get from being able to contribute to the prison community in this way.

Finally, we meet a group of inmates who have enrolled in the prison's education program. We see them attending classes and working on assignments, and they talk about the hope they have for the future. They know that their time in prison is a chance to turn their lives around and make something of themselves when they are released.

Throughout the episode, the viewer is given a sense of the danger and volatility of life in Wabash Valley Correctional Facility. But despite the harsh conditions and violent surroundings, the inmates we meet are shown to be human beings with hopes, dreams, and the capacity for change. The episode is both a sobering reminder of the consequences of criminal behavior and a testament to the resilience of the human spirit.
