The episode starts with Adam taking a scenic hike through Denali National Park. As he makes his way up the mountain, he stops to enjoy the gorgeous views and reflects on the beauty of nature. After his hike, he heads over to the 49th State Brewery in nearby Healy to grab some lunch.
While at the brewery, Adam decides to take on their famous Kodiak Arrest Challenge. The challenge consists of one pound of pulled pork, half a pound of Alaskan king crab, a side of brisket chili, homemade cole slaw, and a serving of mac and cheese. All of this food must be consumed in under an hour to successfully complete the challenge.
Adam gets started on the challenge and quickly realizes that it's going to be a tough one. The portions are massive, and the flavors are intense. With just minutes to go, Adam pushes through and manages to finish the challenge in time. He's rewarded with a t-shirt, a hat, and his photo on the wall of fame.
Next, Adam heads to Anchorage to try some of the best seafood in the state. He goes to Simon and Seaforts, a restaurant known for its fresh, local ingredients. There, he tries their famous pan-roasted halibut, which is served atop a bed of crispy pancetta and wild rice. The dish is cooked to perfection, and Adam can taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite.
After his seafood feast, Adam heads to an iconic Alaskan eatery - Tommy's Burger Stop. This small, family-run establishment has been serving up the tastiest burgers in Anchorage for over 30 years. Adam tries their famous Galloping Girdle burger, which is a double cheeseburger topped with a fried egg, bacon, and sautéed onions. The burger is massive and packed with flavor, and Adam declares it one of the best burgers he's ever had.
To cap off his Alaskan adventure, Adam visits Moose's Tooth Pub and Pizzaria in Anchorage. Moose's Tooth is known for its unique pizza toppings and creative combinations. Adam tries the Avalanche, which features a garlic cream sauce, mozzarella, roasted chicken, fresh spinach, and gorgonzola cheese.
