As the third season of McLeod's Daughters continues, viewers are introduced to another exciting episode called "The Wedding." In this episode, the residents of Drovers Run are getting ready for the wedding of Becky and Jake, but as with all things in this Australian drama series, nothing goes quite as planned.
As preparations for the wedding are underway, tensions between Alex and Stevie begin to rise. Alex is more than a little displeased with the idea of his half-sister marrying the local horse trainer, especially considering the fact that Jake was previously married to her friend Fiona. However, despite the disapproval of some of the Drovers Run residents, Becky and Jake are determined to make their love work.
Meanwhile, the normally confident Jodi is having doubts about the upcoming wedding. She begins to question her own relationship with Alberto, and wonders if she is ready to take such a big step in her own life. With Alberto off working on another farm, Jodi turns to Tess for advice, but her friend isn't sure what to tell her.
As the day of the wedding approaches, Becky begins to have second thoughts. She worries about Jake's feelings for Fiona and fears that he may still be in love with his ex-wife. Her doubts are further fueled by the fact that Fiona has returned to Drovers Run for the wedding. Becky confides in Tess, who tries to reassure her that Jake is fully committed to their relationship.
Meanwhile, Alex is still angry about Jake and Becky's upcoming nuptials. He vents his frustrations to Stevie, who tells him that he needs to get over his jealousy and move on. However, Alex continues to harbor jealousy towards Jake, even as he becomes increasingly aware of his own feelings for Stevie.
With all of these emotions brewing, the wedding day arrives. The ceremony is a beautiful affair, but as the reception gets underway, tensions once again flare up. Alex confronts Jake about his feelings for Fiona, causing an ugly scene at the reception. Becky is horrified by the fight and begins to contemplate whether or not she has made a mistake in marrying Jake.
As the episode draws to a close, the various conflicts between the characters remain unresolved. Jodi is unsure about her relationship with Alberto, Alex is still struggling with his emotions, and Becky is left to wonder if she has made a huge mistake. And so, the third season of McLeod's Daughters continues, with more drama and excitement for viewers to enjoy.
