Ep 8. Lucky

Allison dreamt that an airplane was crashing with no survivors. The next day she tells Joe about her dream, and he advises her not to think too much about it. Later in the day, Allison sees a news report of a small plane crash and recognizes the man who was in her dream. She then becomes obsessed with finding out why she dreamt of him and what the significance of her dream is.

As she investigates, she discovers that the man was in the middle of a lucky streak, having recently won the lottery and received a promotion at work. However, his luck went downhill quickly, leading to the plane crash. Allison starts to think that perhaps her dream was a warning for the man to change his ways and avoid his impending doom.

Meanwhile, Allison's daughter Ariel is having trouble with her classmate Taylor. Despite her attempts to be friendly, Taylor seems to always have it out for her. Ariel discovers that Taylor's parents are going through a divorce and that Taylor is acting out because of it. Ariel takes it upon herself to try and help Taylor by befriending her and even offers to let her stay over. However, things take a turn for the worse when Ariel realizes that Taylor has been manipulating her all along.

As Allison continues her investigation, she discovers that the man in her dream was not the victim of the plane crash but rather the perpetrator. He had rigged the plane to crash in an attempt to collect on the life insurance policy he had just taken out. Allison begins to realize that her dream was not a warning to the man but rather a message from him begging for forgiveness. She helps the police catch the man and his accomplice, ultimately bringing closure to the families affected by the crash.

In the end, Ariel learns a valuable lesson about empathy and understanding, and Allison realizes that her dreams are not always what they seem. The episode ends on a bittersweet note as the family reflects on the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing every moment.
