Joe has always been a man who likes to fix things, whether it be relationships or cars, and in this episode, he finds himself trying to fix his own health problems. After suffering from a panic attack during a game of golf with his friends, Joe is faced with the reality that his lifestyle is catching up to him. He decides to see a doctor and after a series of tests, he is diagnosed with high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Joe is forced to confront his own mortality and make some difficult changes to his lifestyle.
Meanwhile, Terry is dealing with his own health issues - his knees. As a former professional player, he has always pushed his body to the limit, but now his knees are starting to give out on him. He is faced with the decision to either undergo surgery or retire from the game he loves. Terry is struggling to come to terms with the fact that he may not be able to play basketball anymore and is grappling with what his life will look like without it.
Lastly, Owen is still reeling from the loss of his father and the subsequent falling out with his family. He has been shirking his responsibilities at the dealership and it's starting to take a toll on the business. He decides to take matters into his own hands and sets up a meeting with his siblings to try and resolve their issues once and for all.
As the title suggests, this episode is all about going with the flow - accepting the things you cannot change and making the best of what's left. The three friends are all facing difficult situations that they cannot control, and they must learn to adapt to their new realities. It's a poignant reminder that life is unpredictable and sometimes the best thing you can do is just let it take you where it will.
