Ep 6. Schooled in Murder

In the small English village of Midsomer, a new headmaster arrives at the prestigious Devington School, much to the chagrin of the current staff. However, when he is found murdered on the school grounds the morning after a gala charity event, the school becomes the center of a homicide investigation.

DCI John Barnaby and DS Charlie Nelson are called in to investigate the murder. They discover that the new headmaster, Robert Barlow, had made some unpopular decisions amongst the staff, including firing the popular English teacher Mrs. Starkey. Barlow also seemed to have a strained relationship with his wife, who was spotted arguing with him at the gala the night of the murder.

But things start to get more complicated when a second murder occurs, this time at the impressive country estate owned by the chairman of the school's board of governors. The victim also turns out to have a connection to Devington School, leading Barnaby and Nelson to suspect that the murders are related.

As they delve deeper into the investigation, the detectives uncover a web of secrets and lies amongst the school's staff and board members. They begin to suspect that the motive for the murders may be linked to a shocking incident from the past involving both victims and several of the school staff members.

With time running out, Barnaby and Nelson race to uncover the truth and prevent any further murders. But as they get closer to the killer, they realize that the consequences of their investigation may have unexpected and far-reaching consequences.
