The plan works, and the IMF team is able to capture the real killer and clear Lee's name. Along the way, they encounter several obstacles, including a corrupt police officer who is working with the real killer. They also face a moral dilemma when they realize that Mei-Ling has a secret of her own that could put their mission in jeopardy.

As with all episodes of Mission: Impossible, "The Innocent" is full of twists and turns, as well as thrilling action sequences.
