Ep 1. Ripped Apart ~Someone Is Watching~

As Mob Psycho 100 (Original Japanese Version) returns for its highly anticipated second season, fans are thrown back into the world of Shigeo "Mob" Kageyama, a young man with psychic powers who must navigate not only his own emotions but those of the people around him. In the first episode of the new season, entitled "Ripped Apart ~Someone Is Watching~," we find Mob struggling with the aftermath of the events of Season 1, as well as a mysterious new threat that seems to be targeting him specifically.

The episode opens with Mob standing on a bridge, staring at the water below. It's clear that he's been through a traumatic experience and is struggling to come to terms with what he's been through. As he stands there, lost in thought, a woman appears next to him. Her name is Haruka, and she seems to have some kind of psychic ability of her own.

But Mob is wary of her, and understandably so; he's been through a lot, and he doesn't know who he can trust. As he tries to push Haruka away, we see flashbacks of the events that led up to this moment: the fight with the telekinetic organization, Claw, and the betrayal of his former mentor, Reigen.

Meanwhile, back at school, Mob's friends are worried about him. They know something's not right, but they don't know what to do to help. One of them, Tsubomi, decides to go see Mob and check on him. When she arrives, she finds Mob's brother, Ritsu, instead. Ritsu is also worried about Mob, and tells Tsubomi that he's been acting strange since the fight with Claw.

As the episode continues, we see Mob begin to let his guard down around Haruka. She seems genuine in her desire to help him, and he starts to open up to her about his powers and the struggles he's faced because of them. Haruka reveals that she has similar powers to Mob, and that she's dealt with discrimination and fear because of them.

But even as Mob starts to feel like he's found someone who understands him, he can't shake the feeling that something is wrong. He starts seeing visions of a shadowy figure watching him, and he becomes convinced that he's being targeted by some kind of psychic threat. Haruka helps him investigate, and they discover that there is indeed someone watching Mob - but they don't know who it is, or what they want.

As the episode comes to a close, Mob realizes that he can't keep running from his problems. He needs to face the threat head-on, and protect the people he cares about. With Haruka's help, he sets out to confront the shadowy figure and find out what they want from him.

"Ripped Apart ~Someone Is Watching~" sets up the new season of Mob Psycho 100 with an intriguing new threat and plenty of character development for our protagonist. As always, the show blends humor, action, and drama in a way that feels uniquely its own. Fans of Season 1 will be eager to see where the story goes from here, and newcomers will be drawn in by the gorgeous animation and memorable characters.
