They use the key to open the chest, and inside, they find a beautiful necklace. The ghostly figure thanks them and reveals that the necklace belongs to the old lady in the painting, who was her daughter. She had locked it away in the chest to keep it safe from burglars who had been targeting the house. The ghostly figure disappears, and Mofy and Kerry return to the forest, where they give the necklace to the old lady's granddaughter.

The episode ends with Mofy and Kerry sitting beneath a tree, talking about their adventure. Kerry admits that she was scared in the haunted house, but Mofy tells her that she was brave and that she should not be scared of ghosts anymore.
