Our national parks are a national gift. They are there to preserve beautiful and unique spots in nature for us to see and enjoy. They may show the grandeur of our mountains, our canyons and our waters. They were put into legislation by our country's leaders over time to protect these areas for the wild animals, the natural plants and for us. We can renew our bodies through the numerous hiking and exploring routes and we can renew our souls with the endless beauty as we commune with nature. National Parks on television gives us a chance to be knowledgeable about the different parks to see if it is something that will work for us. You will get informed about the services available and the sights to see. If you are unable to make a national park visit, you can take a virtual visit through the scenes and the audio on television as the national parks unfold before you.

Glacier National Park in Montana is arguably America's most stunning landscape, with carved massive glaciers and a melting ice cycle that supports ecosystems of more than 2,000 species of plants and animals. Following the collapsing of the park's most prominent mountain of ice, National Geographic treks into the Continental Divide to uncover the hidden secrets of this transforming landscape.
