NightMan Season 1 Episode 5 In the Still of the Night

In the Still of the Night opens with Johnny Domino, aka NightMan, taking down a group of burglars with ease. However, when he returns home to his loft, he finds an unexpected guest: his former flame, Blair, who is now a famous singer. Johnny is visibly uncomfortable with her presence, but Blair insists on staying to catch up.

Meanwhile, a serial killer is on the loose in the city, targeting women who work the late shift at a local diner. When Johnny's friend and fellow musician, Reno, falls under suspicion, Johnny starts investigating himself. As NightMan, he visits the diner and discovers a pattern among the victims - they all had ties to Blair.

As Johnny becomes more convinced that Blair may be in danger, he tries to warn her and convince her to leave town. But Blair is stubborn and determined to stay, even as the killer draws closer.

With the help of his mentor and gadget-master, Frank, Johnny sets a trap for the killer at the diner. The killer is revealed to be a deranged fan of Blair's who believes that he is doing her a favor by eliminating anyone who stands in the way of her success.

In a tense standoff, NightMan is able to subdue the killer and protect Blair. However, the experience brings up painful memories for Johnny of how Blair left him to pursue her career, and the episode ends with him once again alone in his loft.

In the Still of the Night is a classic crime thriller with a twist of romance, as Johnny grapples with old feelings for his ex-girlfriend while trying to save her life. The episode features strong performances from the core cast as well as guest star Dorian Harewood as the obsessed killer, and is a standout for fans of the series.
