Bratz is an animated television show that was inspired by a line of toy dolls that are very popular among pre-teen girls. The dolls were notable as fashion trend setters wearing unique clothes and sporting very original accessories. There are four major characters in the program. They are Yasmin, Jade, Sasha and Cloe. Each character sports a different color of hair and the group run a fashion magazine, called Bratz Magazine. The girls live in a city that is considered a fashion mecca, Stylesville. In addition to running a highly successful magazine they also find time to attend classes at Sylesville High School. Sasha is the self-proclaimed leader of the group. She is an African American trend setter and handles the music reviews for Bratz Magazine. She is a big fan of modern music and sometimes goes by her hip hop alter ego, Bunny Boo. Yasmin is the environmentalist of the group. She is always very passionate about causes such as animals and develops and promotes an animal rescue program. Cloe is the beauty editor of the magazine and also author's the magazines advice column called Dear Cloe. She is also the athlete and artist of the quartet. Jade edits the fashion section of the magazine. She is the ultimate fashion guru and brings a different spin to the way people think of fashion. Some of her ideas seem way out there but she is usually able to bring everything together. The Bratz girls are not without their antagonists. Their chief foils are the group of ladies at Your Thing Magazine. They were in the fashion magazine game way before the Bratz entered the picture and they are very resentful and sometimes jealous of what the girls are doing at Bratz Magazine. Burdine Maxwell is the founder and editor in chief of Your Thing and she employees an evil set of twins, Kirstee and Kacee Smith. The series has a notable roster of voice actors including Wendie Malick, Soleil Moon-Frye, Lacey Chabert, Tia Mowery, Olivia Hack and Charlie Schlatter
