Nashville was created by Academy Award Winner, Callie Khouri. The series on ABC stars Hayden Panettiere as the young rising star Juliette Barnes, and Connie Britton as Rayna Jaymes. Since premiering on October 10 in 2012 it has been watched by 8.93 million viewers. Basically to sum up the show, Rayna James (Connie Britton) is known as the "Queen of Country" music. Lately, her newest album hasn't sold so well. Her record label suggests that she open for a new, younger, and sexier singer Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere). Obviously, this won't blow over for either end. So Juliette takes this opportunity to alienate her rival, Rayna. They end up fighting over the lead guitarist Deacon Claybourne (Charles Esten), also Rayna's former lover. They both try to sign him up for their tours. Then to make matters even more tense, Rayna's father, Lamar Wyatt (Powers Boothe) who just happens to be a millionaire businessman, convinces her husband, Teddy Conrad (Eric Close) to run for Mayor of Nashville. The different seasons developed well not only for character development, for the plot line, and different twists along the way. You see each character face a different life hurdle and see them have to over come it. These two leading ladies show just how hard the music industry really is. What singers really have to do in order to be on tour, have rivals along the way, and even fight for a band member or two along the way. This TV has won many awards including; Critic's Choice Award for more exciting new TV series in 2012. In 2013, it won a Gloden Globe for best actress in a dramatic TV series, and best supporting actress in a series. It also took a People's Choice Award for favorite new drama TV series. Even taking home a Teen Choice Award, for choice tv show in the drama series and choice actress same category. This show really has been people's choice since it first aired it's pilot back in 2012. Not only does it have great music, but two great actresses that really take the audience by storm.
