The show Nighty Night follows the life of Jill Tyrell, a woman who has a dream of finding the perfect man and marrying him. Jill is married to the love of her life, Terry, who has been diagnosed with cancer. They live a happy life in a small town in England, until Jill learns that their new neighbor, Cathy, is an attractive woman who poses a threat to her marriage.

As the episode ends, she commandeers a book club meeting to inform them of Terry's illness, displaying her lack of social awareness and further alienating herself from those around her.

Nighty Night is a dark comedy which tackles themes of obsession, manipulation, and mental illness. The first episode sets the tone for the series, showcasing the extreme lengths Jill will go to hold onto the man she loves.
