Ep 8. Over the Line

After the latest events that had taken place, Hiyori is still adjusting to the fact that she has become a half-phantom. Her friends, Yato and Yukine, as well as her family, are trying to help her in any way they can, but she is struggling. Meanwhile, Yato is dealing with his own personal struggles as he is still trying to find more clients to boost his reputation as a god.

In this episode, titled "Over the Line," Yato has finally found a potential new client. However, the catch is that he must win a fight against another god. This task proves to be more difficult than he initially thought, as the opposing god is not only powerful but also relentless.

Desperate to win the fight, Yato decides to take matters into his own hands and crosses a line he never thought he would. In doing so, he not only risks losing the fight but also risks losing himself.

Meanwhile, Hiyori is still struggling with her new lifestyle as a half-phantom. As she walks home from school, she is suddenly attacked by a phantom. However, she is rescued by another half-phantom named Bishamon. Bishamon takes her back to her secret hideout where Hiyori is introduced to the rest of her regalia, several of whom are suffering from the same condition as herself.

As the episode progresses, we see the two storylines begin to intertwine. Yato's fight against the opposing god leads him to make a shocking discovery. Meanwhile, Hiyori begins to uncover the truth behind Bishamon and the regalia's condition.

Throughout "Over the Line," we see the characters continue to develop. Hiyori is slowly coming to terms with her new existence as a half-phantom, and her interactions with Bishamon and her regalia give her a glimpse into what her own future could look like. Yato's decision to cross a line sets up a potential conflict in future episodes and shows that even he is not immune to making mistakes.
