Prison School is a Japanese anime series based on the manga of the same name by Akira Hiramoto. The show revolves around Hachimitsu Academy, an all-girls high school that has just started admitting boys. Five male students, Kiyoshi Fujino, Gakuto Itō, Shingo Wakamoto, Joji Nezu and Reiji Andō is attending the school, but they soon find themselves in trouble after they sneak into the girls' shower room. The boys are caught and are sentenced to a month-long stay at the school's prison.

The prison is a rundown facility that is overseen by the student council. The council is made up of three girls, Mari Kurihara, Meiko Shiraki, and Hana Midorikawa. Mari is the president of the council, and she is very strict and uncompromising. Meiko is the vice president, and she is the one who takes care of the day-to-day operations of the prison. Hana is a member of the council who is obsessed with Kiyoshi and constantly trying to sabotage his plans.

The boys quickly realize that they are in for a tough time in prison. Meiko is a sadistic guard who delights in punishing the inmates, while Hana is constantly trying to seduce Kiyoshi. The boys are also subjected to a series of humiliating and degrading tasks, such as cleaning the school's toilets with toothbrushes. The show is filled with slapstick humor, as well as some darker moments that explore themes of power, oppression, and sexual harassment.

Despite the harsh conditions of their imprisonment, the boys are determined to escape. They spend much of the show hatching elaborate schemes and attempting daring escapes, but they are constantly thwarted by the council and their own ineptitude. The show also features a number of supporting characters, including fellow inmates like the timid Andre and the rebellious Joe, as well as outside parties like Mari's father, the chairman of the school, and Kiyoshi's younger sister, Chiyo.

Overall, Prison School is a dark, raunchy comedy that explores some uncomfortable themes. The show's animation is top-notch, and the voice acting is fantastic. Hiroshi Kamiya, Katsuyuki Konishi, and Kenichi Suzumura all turn in standout performances as Kiyoshi, Gakuto, and Shingo, respectively. The show is not for everyone, as it can be quite graphic and explicit at times, but for those who are willing to take the plunge, it is a hilarious and entertaining ride.

In conclusion, Prison School is a must-watch anime series for fans of dark comedies. Its blend of humor and social commentary make it a standout among the many shows available today.
