Ep 3. False Bond

In "Noragami" season 2 episode 3, titled "False Bond," the story follows Yato, a god-for-hire, as he accepts a job from a client named Mayu. Mayu has a problem with her spirit friend, who is a stray spirit trying to reincarnate and is causing trouble in the human world. Yato accepts Mayu's request and decides to help her with this issue.

While Yato works for Mayu, Hiyori, a human who has been turned into a half-phantom after an accident, decides to follow Yato and ends up meeting a stray named Suzuha. Suzuha explains to Hiyori that she plans on reincarnating because she feels like she is not needed in the human world and the other stray spirits will not accept her. Hiyori tries to convince Suzuha to stay but ends up failing.

Meanwhile, Yato's old friend Bishamon appears and warns Yato to stay away from Hiyori as she senses bad luck around her, in turn making her dangerous. Yato becomes angry after her warning and starts to think that Bishamon wants to take Hiyori away from him.

Later, while Yato and Mayu are dealing with the stray spirit, they find out that the spirit is bound to Suzuha. They try to get Suzuha back, but they face challenges from the other stray spirits who do not want Suzuha to return because they do not trust her. Hiyori jumps in to help and her actions help Yato see what true teamwork looks like.

As the episode comes to a close, Yato and Suzuha finally reunite, but Yato does not find happiness in the reunion as he knows that eventually one day he too would have to say goodbye to his friends.

"Noragami" season 2 episode 3, "False Bond," is a story about struggle and the importance of teamwork. It shows how vulnerable people can be when they think they are not needed and how true friends stand by each other no matter what.
