Ep 3. Empathy Is a Boner Killer

In season 3 episode 3 of Orange is the New Black, titled "Empathy Is a Boner Killer," we see various plot lines begin to unravel and new characters emerge. The episode starts off with Alex confronting Lolly, the new inmate who she suspects has been sent to kill her. Meanwhile, Piper is attempting to start a new business with her panties, but soon realizes that it may not be as easy as she thought it would be.

On the other side of things, Caputo continues to struggle with his job as prison counselor, particularly when he is forced to confront a traumatic experience from his past. Sister Ingalls and Sophia also make an appearance in this episode, as they work together to find a way to appeal Sophia's transfer to maximum security.

One of the main storylines of this episode is the arrival of new character Stella Carlin, played by Ruby Rose. Stella is a new inmate who catches the eye of both Piper and Alex, leading to some tension between the two. We also get a glimpse into Stella's life outside of prison, which helps to flesh out her character a bit more.

As the episode progresses, we see some unexpected developments. A new drug that has made its way into the prison causes chaos for the inmates, leading to some intense and emotional moments. Additionally, Daya's pregnancy becomes a point of contention between her and Bennett, as they struggle to figure out what their future looks like.

Overall, "Empathy Is a Boner Killer" is an episode that does an excellent job of weaving together a number of plotlines and introducing new characters without feeling cluttered or overwhelming. It has its fair share of humor, drama, and heart, making it a standout episode in an already fantastic season.
