Pacific Blue is a popular cop drama TV show that aired for five seasons from 1996-2000. The show was set in Santa Monica, California, and revolved around a group of bike patrol officers who patrolled the beachfront. The show's first episode, Pilot, introduced viewers to the main characters and set up the series' premise.

The episode begins with bike patrol officer T.C. Callaway (played by Jim Davidson) receiving a promotion to head up the bike unit in Santa Monica. He is tasked with assembling a team of officers to help him patrol the beachfront and keep tourists and locals alike safe. T.C. is a veteran cop who has been on the force for over a decade. He is joined by three new officers who all have their own unique personalities and backgrounds.

First, there is Chris Kelly (played by Darlene Vogel), a former lifeguard who is tough as nails and doesn't take crap from anyone. She has a bit of a chip on her shoulder and is looking to prove herself in the male-dominated world of law enforcement. Next up is Victor Del Toro (played by Marcos Ferraez), a Mexican-American former gang member who has turned his life around and become a cop. He is street-smart and has a good heart. Finally, there is Bobby Cruz (played by Mario Lopez), a young, enthusiastic officer who has just graduated from the police academy. He is eager to prove himself and looks up to T.C. as a mentor.

The episode's conflict arises when a local businessman named Mr. Duke (played by Richard Jaeckel) complains to the police department about the bike patrol officers causing too much hassle for customers in his beachfront bar. T.C. and his team are called in to address the issue, but they quickly realize that Mr. Duke is not being entirely truthful. In fact, one of his employees is extorting money from customers and intimidating them with a switchblade. T.C. and his team investigate and eventually bring the crooked employee to justice.

While dealing with the bar situation, T.C. and his team are also shown to be dealing with other issues that arise on the beachfront. For example, they help a young boy who is lost find his parents, and they also patrol the boardwalk to make sure that the various vendors are not causing any trouble. Throughout the episode, it becomes clear that the team is going to face a wide range of challenges as they patrol the beachfront and try to keep the peace.

The pilot episode of Pacific Blue is a fast-paced and action-packed introduction to the world of the show. It showcases the skills and personalities of the main characters while also hinting at the larger conflicts that they will encounter as they try to keep Santa Monica's beachfront safe. The show's setting, with the ocean and boardwalk in the background, gives it a unique vibe that sets it apart from other cop dramas.

Overall, the first episode of Pacific Blue is an engaging and entertaining hour of television. It introduces the main characters and sets up the series' premise in a way that hooks viewers and leaves them wanting more. The show would go on to run for five seasons and become a beloved part of 90s TV history.
