In the eleventh episode of Power Rangers Beast Morphers season 1, titled "Tools of the Betrayed," the team of Power Rangers find themselves faced with a tough challenge. In this episode, they encounter a new monster called "Smashtrap" who turns out to be a former friend of Devon, the Red Ranger.
The episode opens with Devon, the Red Ranger, and his best friend, Cruise, a robotic dog, trying to fix up an old car they found. While they are working on the car, they are surprised to see a new monster, Smashtrap, attacking the city. To fight against Smashtrap, the Red Ranger and his team gear up and head out into the city.
As the Power Rangers engage in a battle with Smashtrap, they quickly realize that he seems to have an intimate knowledge of their skills and abilities. It soon becomes clear that Smashtrap has been spying on the Power Rangers and gathering information about them to use to his advantage. This revelation leaves the Power Rangers feeling vulnerable and exposed.
Things go from bad to worse when Devon discovers that Smashtrap isn't just any monster- he is a former friend of his from when they competed in high school robotics competitions. In fact, he designed the robotic dog companion, Cruise, that Devon has been working on this whole time. Devon is heartbroken when he learns that someone he trusted has betrayed him and is now using his own creations against him.
Meanwhile, at Morph-X, the company that provides energy to the city, Scrozzle, a robotic assistant to the villains of the series, is hard at work creating a weapon that will enable the villains to infiltrate and destroy the Morph-X grid. The Power Rangers may not know it yet, but this weapon will play a pivotal role in the episodes's climactic battle.
As the episode progresses, the Power Rangers work to find a way to stop Smashtrap and prevent him from doing any further damage. But this isn't an easy task when your opponent seems to know everything about your moves. Despite their efforts, Smashtrap manages to gain the upper hand and the situation looks dire.
However, the Power Rangers soon discover an unexpected ally in the form of Cruise. Though he is just a robotic dog, Cruise proves to be instrumental in helping the Power Rangers gain the advantage over Smashtrap. With Cruise's help, the Power Rangers are able to defeat Smashtrap and save the city once again.
But the victory is short-lived, as the Power Rangers soon learn that the villains have gained access to the Morph-X grid and are getting closer to destroying it. This sets the stage for what promises to be an explosive finale to the season.
In "Tools of the Betrayed," viewers get to see a different side of the Power Rangers as they are forced to confront the possibility that they may not be invincible. This episode also touches on themes of betrayal and redemption, as Devon grapples with the betrayal of someone he considered a friend. Overall, this episode is an exciting addition to an already action-packed series.
