Raising Children is a documentary series produced by TVF International that explores the different ways in which children are raised around the world. The series is comprised of six episodes, each of which focuses on a different aspect of childrearing, from the role of fathers in parenting to the impact of technology on childhood.

In the first episode, titled "Fathers", the series looks at how fathers are increasingly taking an active role in raising their children. The episode visits fathers across the globe, from Sweden, where fathers are entitled to extended paternity leave, to Japan, where traditionally fathers are expected to work long hours and be absent from home. Throughout the episode, the fathers discuss their experiences of fatherhood and how their roles have evolved over the years.

The second episode, "Attachment", focuses on the importance of early childhood relationships for children's emotional development. The episode looks at how different cultures approach attachment, from the "attachment parenting" movement in the West to the "kangaroo care" technique used in Colombia to promote bonding between premature babies and their mothers.

"Education", the third episode, examines the different ways in which education is approached around the world. The episode features innovative teaching methods such as outdoor schools and cooperative learning, as well as more traditional approaches such as rote learning and strict discipline. The episode also addresses issues such as access to education and educational inequalities.

In the fourth episode, "Play", the series takes a closer look at the value of play for children's development. The episode features children playing in various cultures, from the competitive play of American children to the imaginative play of children in Senegal. The episode also addresses the impact of technology on play and the challenges of balancing screen time with traditional play.

The fifth episode, "Family Values", explores the cultural and social norms that shape family life around the world. The episode highlights the changing roles of women in the family, the importance of extended family networks, and the role of religion in family life. The episode also looks at how families are changing in response to social and economic pressures such as urbanization and migration.

In the final episode, "Growing Up Too Fast", the series examines the impact of modern technology and culture on childhood. The episode looks at how children's lives are increasingly structured and how parents are faced with the challenge of protecting their children's innocence in the face of digital media and consumer culture. The episode also explores the impact of social media on children's self-esteem and the challenges of balancing the benefits and risks of technology.

Overall, Raising Children provides a rich and insightful exploration of the diverse ways in which children are raised around the world. With its focus on cultural differences and the challenges facing parents in a rapidly changing world, the series offers valuable insights into the complex and multifaceted nature of parenting. Whether you're a parent, a caregiver, or simply someone interested in child development, Raising Children is sure to offer new perspectives and plenty of food for thought.
