In the first episode of season 7 of the hit reality series Relative Race, four teams are introduced to viewers as they embark on a journey to discover their family roots. Each team is made up of two individuals who are connected through DNA testing and have never met before. Their task is to travel across the country to different cities and meet with family members they have never known existed.
The first team introduced is the Cook family, made up of Chandler and his father, Bob. The two hail from Utah and are excited to take on this adventure together. Finally, the St. Clairs are introduced, consisting of sisters Dannielle and Tiffany. These two have always been close, but are excited to bond even more on this journey of discovery. The sisters are from Florida and hope to find out more about their family's roots in Louisiana.
The episode kicks off with each team getting their DNA results and meeting their four mystery relatives. They are given brief information about each relative and the location where they live. From there, they must race across the country, completing challenges along the way to earn more time on the clock. At the end of each leg of the race, they will meet up with a different set of relatives and hopefully learn even more about their family history.
