Rev. is a television series that primarily airs on both the BBC Two and BBC HD channels. This television series has an approximate running time of about 30 minutes long per episode, and it was created by both Tom Holland and James Wood. Plus, Rev. was produced by Matthew Justice, Simon Wilson, Kenton Allen, Tom Hollander, and Hannah Pescod. This television series is mainly focused around a Reverend, named Adam Smallbone. Reverend Smallbone is an Anglican priest that has moved away from his small rural parish, to the St. Saviour, located within the marshes inside of East London. Despite his efforts, Reverend Smallbone cannot get anyone to turn away from his care, leaving him with a large amount of moral challenges. Even more so, he has to consider the needs of the genuine believers, people coming in off the streets, those addicted to drugs, and even people who try to use the church as a social ladder to get their kids into the best school. Also, he has the Archdeacon, named Robert, who is putting as much pressure as he can on Reverend Smallbone to generate a bigger congregation and build more church income. Furthermore, even though Reverend Smallbone has many pressures weighing on his shoulders, he receives a lot of support from people around him. One supporter being his wife, Alex, who works as a solicitor. Alex is capable of looking past his hard life as a priest, yet she never interferes with his work. Another supporter being the Lay reader, Nigel, who believes that Reverend Smallbone should be running the church, not the Archdeacon, Robert. Though he struggles, Reverend Smallbone tries his hardest to get St. Saviour turned around and straighten out the lived of those who need it the most.
