Ep 1. The Vow

Cotton Mather is convinced that witches are to blame, and he enlists the help of John Alden to identify and capture the witches responsible. Meanwhile, Mary and Tituba are working on their own plans to protect themselves and the other witches in Salem.

The tension and fear in the town reach a tipping point when George Sibley makes a shocking announcement at a town meeting. He declares that he had a vision from God and that he and Mary must renew their vows in front of the entire town. Mary is horrified but ultimately agrees to the ceremony, knowing that it's the only way to protect herself and John from suspicion.

The vow renewal ceremony is a haunting and surreal scene, with Mary and George dressed in black and surrounded by a coven of witches in animal masks. The ceremony culminates in an eerie display of magic, leaving the town in shock and further fueling suspicions of witchcraft.

As the episode comes to a close, tensions are high, and the stakes are even higher. John Alden is now embroiled in the town's witch hunt, Mary is in danger of being discovered as a witch, and Cotton Mather's obsession with finding the culprits shows no sign of abating.
