Back at the hypnotherapist's office, Samantha continues to explore her memories and discovers a surprising connection between her ex-boyfriend Todd and her boss Dena (Melissa McCarthy). Samantha is shocked and decides to confront Dena about it.

The episode goes on to explore Samantha's relationship with Todd and how it ended. Samantha also tries to make amends with Dena and re-establish their friendship.
