From edge-of-your-seat action blockbusters to heartwarming comedies, this season brought us some of the most memorable and thrilling films to date. Join us as we count down the year's best and discuss what made each movie so special.

Kicking off our list at number 10 is the sci-fi thriller Ex Machina, starring Domhnall Gleeson and Oscar Isaac. This movie explores the ethical dilemmas of artificial intelligence, as a young programmer is invited to test the abilities of a humanoid robot with unexpected results. At number 9, we have the high-octane Mad Max: Fury Road, which was praised by critics and audiences alike for its stunning visuals, exhilarating chase scenes, and unforgettable performances by Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron.

In at number 8, we have Spy, a hilarious comedy starring Melissa McCarthy as a desk-bound CIA analyst who is suddenly thrust into the field, and has to use her wits and humor to survive. At number 5, we have Jurassic World, the long-awaited sequel to the Jurassic Park trilogy that reignited our love for dinosaurs and adventure. At number 3, we have a movie that celebrated girl power and friendship like no other: Pitch Perfect 2. Following the success of the first film, this sequel brought back the beloved Barden Bellas for another a capella competition, with hilarious and heartwarming results.

Our runner-up for the summer of 2015 is the Marvel blockbuster Avengers: Age of Ultron. With an all-star cast including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, and Scarlett Johansson, this movie set the stage for the epic conclusion of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase 2. From Ultron's menacing plan to the introduction of new heroes like Vision and the Scarlet Witch, this movie was a thrilling ride from start to finish.

And finally, our number 1 pick for the summer of 2015 is… drumroll please… Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation! Starring Tom Cruise as the unstoppable Ethan Hunt, this movie delivered pulse-pounding action, mind-blowing stunts, and a plot that kept us on the edge of our seats. With a standout performance by Rebecca Ferguson as the mysterious Ilsa Faust, Rogue Nation cemented its place as one of the best action movies of all time.
