In See No Evil season 2 episode 2 titled "Good Samaritan," the show's signature combination of surveillance footage and expert analysis are used once again to investigate a mysterious case involving a missing person.

The episode begins with the disappearance of 78-year-old Maybelle Andrews from her home in Birmingham, Alabama. Maybelle, a kind and generous woman known for her volunteer work at the local church, was last seen by her neighbors on September 29, 2014, before disappearing without a trace.

The Birmingham police department launch a search operation for Maybelle, but with limited evidence and no leads to go on, they struggle to make progress. It is in these circumstances that the production team of See No Evil arrives to help.

The surveillance footage used in the episode is primarily sourced from the cameras outside Maybelle's home, which were installed by her in a bid to protect herself from potential burglars. The footage shows Maybelle making her way out of her house and into the street, before disappearing from sight.

The analysis of the footage is done by a team of experts who painstakingly examine each frame in an effort to find any clues or leads. One of the things they notice is that Maybelle, who was suffering from dementia, had her purse with her when she left the house, suggesting that she had planned to go out, but to where and why remains a mystery.

The surveillance footage also shows a car driving past Maybelle's house several times, leading investigators to suspect that the driver might have seen or known something about Maybelle's disappearance. The team is able to track down the car and find the driver, who is questioned by the police.

Further analysis of the footage shows another car, a white pick-up truck, turning around in Maybelle's cul-de-sac. The pick-up is deemed a potential lead, and its registration number is identified and traced. The owner of the pick-up, a man named Max, is subsequently questioned and cooperates with the investigation. However, when the police search his vehicle and home, they find no evidence of Maybelle.

Despite these leads, the team is unable to find any solid evidence that might solve the case. They analyze the footage multiple times, and even recreate the scene outside Maybelle's house to try and glean new insights. However, all their efforts lead to dead ends.

The narrative of the episode is driven by emotional interviews with Maybelle's family, friends, and members of the community who all express their shock and sadness over her disappearance. These interviews add a personal touch to the proceedings, reminding viewers of the human cost of such cases and the importance of finding justice for victims and their loved ones.

"Good Samaritan" is a haunting episode that showcases just how difficult and heart-wrenching missing persons cases can be. Through a combination of expert analysis and emotional storytelling, it brings Maybelle's story to life and leaves viewers grappling with unanswered questions and a sense of loss.
